Curious
by default.
A security-first builder with an editorial streak.
I'm Emna, a cloud and cybersecurity engineering student based in Tunis. Most of my curiosity lives where infrastructure meets security: the quiet defaults, the overlooked permission, the one line of configuration that changes everything.

Probably mid-thought, holding a cup of tea.
The short version
A little about the person behind the terminal.
I'm a Cloud & Cybersecurity Engineering student with a foundation in full-stack development, databases and systems. My favourite work sits at the intersection of the three: understanding how something is put together, where it can break, and how to make it hold.
I care about the unglamorous parts — naming, documentation, sensible defaults, the error message someone reads at 2am. Security, to me, is mostly a form of care: for the people using the system and the people maintaining it.
When I'm not studying or breaking a lab environment, I'm usually reading, taking long walks, or trying to make a flat white that tastes like the ones in my favourite café.
Things I keep coming back to
Small principles, stubbornly held.
Understand, then build
I'd rather spend an extra hour mapping the problem than a week untangling a rushed solution.
Security is a design material
Not a checklist to bolt on at the end. It belongs in the first sketch, the data model, the defaults.
Clarity is kindness
Good names, honest documentation and simple interfaces are a form of respect for whoever comes next.
Stay curious on purpose
The best engineers I know are the ones who still ask 'but why does it work?' long after it starts working.
My journey
A short
timeline.
Not a résumé — just the moments that changed the direction of things.
2023
Baccalaureate in Experimental Sciences
Lycée Marsa Saada · Tunisia
Earned my Baccalaureate in Experimental Sciences, marking the beginning of my academic journey in technology.
2023–Present
Engineering Studies
ESPRIT · Cloud & Cybersecurity Engineering
Pursuing engineering studies in computer science, developing skills in software development, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
2024
Banking Internship
STB Bank · Tunisia
Completed a four-week internship exploring banking operations and gaining exposure to the IT systems used in a financial institution.
2026
KVM Virtualization Internship
TMI · Tunisia
Worked on a virtualization lab using KVM and oVirt, exploring virtual machine management, Linux infrastructure, and shared storage.
What I reach for
A toolkit,
not a personality.
I care more about understanding the problem than collecting logos. These are the tools I happen to know well right now.

Away from the screen
The things that keep me a person.
I think the best work comes from people with a life outside of it. Mine is fairly ordinary, and I like it that way.
“Take the work seriously. Yourself, a little less.”
Let's make something worth remembering.
I'm always up for a conversation about cloud security, infrastructure, thoughtful engineering, or a project that needs an extra pair of careful hands. The best way to reach me is email — I read everything.
Currently open to internships and junior roles in cloud, security and infrastructure. Response time varies with coursework, but I aim to reply within a few days.
